Give to your Shopify shop more "life"

Before the shop website is officially launched, sellers still need to control the details including logistics plans and tax-payments.



Taxes


1. Go to the Products page in the admin panel


2. Click on the name of a product


3. Scroll down to the section called "Variants"


4. Make sure the checkboxes next to Charge taxes and Requires shipping are ticked if the product requires it


5. Some shops do not require tax or shipping charges for products such as digital goods. However, most shops with physical goods are likely to require both charges


6. If logistics are necessary, you will need to enter the weight of the product


Logistics


If the shipping rate is too high or does not give enough logistics options may result in some orders being lost. And Shopify will be based on the seller in the shipping page defined rate rules for consumers to calculate shipping rates. To ensure that orders are not lost, sellers can.


1. go to Settings > Shipping page


2. check that the "Shipping" section is set up to calculate shipping rates based on weight and adjust for product specifications.



Testing the trading system


To test whether the system works, sellers can use Shopify's Bogus Gateway to simulate transactions: 1.


1. Enter the back office administration interface, click on Settings, then click on Payments to access payment settings


2. If the credit card gateway is enabled, please deactivate it before proceeding: click Edit, select Deactivate, confirm deactivation can be


3. In the Accept credit cards section, click to select a credit card gateway to open the drop-down menu


4. Scroll down to the other list and click on (for testing) Bogus Gateway


5. Click on Activate (or Reactivate)


6. Go to the shop page and simulate a consumer placing an order. At the checkout, simply enter your credit card details instead of the order amount


Real test


1. Ensure that the payment gateway has been set up


2. After purchase, complete the checkout using your real credit card details


3. Cancel the order immediately and get a refund to avoid paying transaction fees


4. Log in to the payment gateway to ensure smooth access to funds


*No fees will be incurred if the order is canceled and refunded as soon as possible after the order is placed, if the billing cycle is after the test order is placed but before the order is canceled, the transaction will be charged. However, sellers can still cancel after billing Shopify and a refund of the transaction credit will be issued to the seller's account, and sellers can subsequently use the transaction credit to cover future transaction fees incurred.
