Having imported your products, you should now spend some time working on the design of your direct marketing e-commerce shop. At the moment, it has a very plain look and will not attract the attention of your customers.
Fortunately, Shopify does offer a lot of options in terms of design. And the process of enabling these designs is very user-friendly.
First, from the sidebar menu of the Shopify dashboard, go to Online Store → Themes. In the "Theme Library" section, you can enter a catalog of free themes, or go to the Shopify Theme Store for more advanced options. We will now make it free.
When choosing your designs again, research the types of designs used by your competitors and those you think could be used in your niche in a way that suits your customer base. Installing a theme is easy. Just click on the list and then click on the "Add to Theme Library" button.
You will see the themes in the "Theme Library" section.
Click on "Customise" next to the theme name. You will see the main customization screen.
Use this by selecting a section from the sidebar, adjusting the options, and then admiring the effect in the main preview block. The sections you can see in the sidebar correspond to the elements on the home page. You can freely add new sections, edit existing sections or remove them.
It is better to customize from the beginning till the end
Start with the header. If there is already a logo, add it. If not, you can use a tool in the Shopify family called "Hatchful". You can also readjust the header as required.
After that, it is up to you to decide how you will complete this section and what is included on the page, etc. It's usually a good idea to start the page with some nice wide images from the beginning, then show your top products and, finally, say something about your shop. Although this is only the simplest of layouts. The more work you put into your shop's original artwork, the better your results will be.
The interface itself is very intuitive using Shopify, so you won't encounter any technical problems. You can edit all the text naturally and also adjust the font, size and upload the images to be used on the site.
When you're done, click the main Publish button in the top right corner. With very little efforts, you can make the front page of your shop more user-friendly.
