Shopify welcomes its first heavy-duty delivery app:

Deliveright Logistics, a New Jersey-based online delivery service for heavy goods, has announced the launch of its first heavy goods delivery app for independent site-building platform Shopify, which is now live within Shopify.

It is understood that Shopify sellers who sell heavy items such as furniture and sports equipment can now choose Deliveright to manage the logistics and last-mile delivery process for their shipments to US consumers.

The newly launched Heavy Goods Delivery App is said to be integrated with Deliveright's Grasshopper platform service, enabling sellers to provide consumers with instant shipping cost quotes and multiple service options, where sellers can automate the process of placing orders, shipping, to tracking the entire logistics route, including last-mile delivery services.

Deliveright Logistics currently covers the US states of New York, Connecticut, Florida, California, and Minnesota and can serve 50% of the US population. Deliveright Logistics' services can now reduce logistics delivery times to 3-5 days and reduce the number of damaged and rejected orders by up to 80%.
